Eagle Rock - 10 October

Today was a great day for wheelin' !

Met up with Greg, James, Trent, Tommy, and Ty.

We ran Eagle rock I think to the halfway point or just a bit more.

Only real hitch was a fuel pressure issue, Greg had to do some troubleshooting and seemed to make it happy again.

Definitely nice and dry, lots of dusty spots, I had the luxury of being in front.

For that I'm grateful!

Only two of us drove over the giant rock next to a tree, Greg and Tommy.

Kudos for that!

I failed by not taking a picture of Greg on it, I hope someone else did.

Thanks a ton for coming out today guys, I really enjoyed myself!

Yea I didn't think about the lack of smoke until Trent mentioned having to deal with it up there for the last 2 and half months.

edit: also, I guess we are still a week or two out from the pretty golden, I expected more color for sure.

Fun wheeling, it was nice to be back in the mountains.

Challenging trail for my stock height rig; mostly due to the large, loose rocks. Some how I got hung up on one and James helped me get back, but I tore a rock about 3/4 the height of my tire out of the earth and it catapulted my whole rig back with it. Luckily only steel made contact and I didn't flip over.

Edit: also, we saw some clowns on a dirt bike and side by side. First they were discontent with being "stuck" behind us on the roads were there was clear signage stating no unlicensed vehicles were allowed on them. Then we saw them later on, they weren't content to wait for us to make it up a hill they were intent on coming down right away, so they started making their own trail! Genius, why haven't I thought of that before? Included is a picture of one of the clowns.

We met a friendly couple in a built JK doing this trail and moving on to "Saranwrap," they filmed some of me and offered to send it to me. So far I've gotten 2 videos from them. The one of my Jeep isn't thrilling but you can see the rock that I took a ride on towards the right of the frame and the hole it came out of. I'm hoping they have footage of the wild ride but I think they would have sent it by now.
