I'll be interested in what you think of them in hot weather, my interior is looking a bit shabby and the seats getting worn so I'll be in the market sometime.

The he seat covers have been great so far, just got back from a road trip to northern Minnesota and they worked great. I don't sweat anymore than my cloth seats, and definitely a lot less than leather.

Got a roof rack last week, and I sent my dash in to get modified to fit an iPad mini. I'll get better roof rack pictures later

ended up ordering a factory style spoiler because I have always wanted one.

drilling holes. two lined up exactly where the plastic grommets are, and the other two I ended up having to take the struts off to drill a big enough access hole.

    struts off

finished product. whole install took about two hours by myself. would have gone a lot quicker if I had some help.

also plasti dipped the chrome door handles and rear trim.

I upgraded my Icon stage 1 to a stage 2 over the weekend (just added upper control arms). it makes a HUGE difference in the way it handles, and I wish I had only done it sooner.

new upper control arms with parts to install

out with the old... the ball joints were actually in pretty good condition. it looks crappy in the picture because I had to take some vice grips to it to keep it from spinning while I un-bolted it. stock ones had about 127,000 miles on them.

    in with the new...

and I found a twin when I went to get it aligned! I thought it was pretty crazy, in a town of around 60,000, I rarely see another 4runner, especially not a driftwood pearl in the same shop haha

I also installed a Landcruiser black piano wood steering wheel a while back:

Looks good. I really like the look of the steering wheel. It fits the 4Runner well and looks comfortable.

I will be able to remove it, it just slides to one side, and pops out. The Sony stereo mounts behind it and I control the stereo through an app on the iPad, along with being able to plant anything that's on my iPad. Should work pretty good

Thanks! I didn't even realize it matched the shifter until I looked at this picture haha. It's very comfortable and I got it for a pretty good price ($250 shipped brand new)

Rebuilt the front end this weekend. put in new LCA bushings, new Cam bolts, Lower ball joints, CV boots, inner axle seals, Wheel bearings, new dust seals for wheel bearings, inner and outer tie rods, new rotors and upgraded to the 5th gen front calipers. a lot of work, but it rides much better, and there are no more noises coming from the front end. I got some stop tech drilled and slotted rotors for improved performance. three of the four cam bolts were seized in place, so I'm not sure how they ever got the alignment in spec, but the guy at Sears said it was a walk in the park to get it with all the new parts.

I also went with a different wheel and tire setup. I put on a set of SCS stealth 6 17" matte black wheels, and some 285/70 R17 Pro Comp Xtreme mud terrains. they are definitely a lot louder, but I like the look of them, and they will add a lot of traction off-road.

I got my dash back last week also, I think it turned out great.

    Nice Brad!

No more noises? I'm jealous! I'm chasing down mine, 90% were from my skids plates but the last 10% are proving to be elusive.

I assume this replaces the radio, how does it sound? Does it play through the speakers on the truck?

sorry, I never saw your post. There is a sony head unit mounted behind it, and it plays through USB to the head unit. it sounds great, even better than the stock system, (which I thought was amazing for stock).

been a while since I updated this. sorry about not taking pictures, just got caught up in the holidays. Got a set of RCI skid plates installed, including front, transmission, transfer case, and lower control arms. they all look and fit great!

I picked up my bumper on Friday from Scotty. he is catching a lot of negative comments and opinions lately, but I can tell you his product is well worth the wait. everything looks great on it and the fitment is excellent. if you look at his Facebook page, he is working on something new for the 4th gens, and after seeing it in person at his shop, I will definitely be ordering one when they are available. just know when you order from him it can easily be a 4 month wait no matter what his stuff says for turn times. Like I said, definitely worth the wait. anyways.... on to the pictures:

I also swapped out the stock ICON springs for 700b King springs. they handle the bumper nicely, and give me a little stiffer ride, which is nice since I don't have a sway bar. I just ordered the ICON 3" rear springs since the rear site a little to low.

That bumper fits so nicely. It sure was worth the wait! And the weight.
