Hey Paul, I'll have to go get them things out of the way 😀
i think we may have to do a trail " clean up " and help remove said vehicles.

Hi Paul, good to see you back here!! From anyone else I'd consider that a joke, but I'm half expecting you to post pics of you dragging them out.

I'd be up for abandoned vehicle removal...
What's the condition?
I am pretty sure Colorado 4x4 Rescue and Recovery is planning on removing them when possible.

I called the BRD this morning about this, they said they expect to have it open by the end of the month and that a 4x4 group (didn't name them) is working on it as we speak. I hope it's soon, that is one of my favorite trails.
I have some company coming in late July and early August. Kingston would be a fantastic trail to take some visitors out to, if schedules work out and the trail opens in time.
Any photos of the blockage?
Sweet. Well if this club needs step up to help, I am down.
Hope the plates are still on them for owner contact and such....

In a never ending search for the proper mix of dirt & rock !
If you leave your property in the way on a public trail for more than a few days or a week, that **** is ABANDONED. And you're an *******. I haven't seen any pictures of what you folks are talking about, but I'd guess they're all stripped of parts and damaged more at this point. The people who looted the trucks didn't think about it being "theft".
I think the real risk is that once you hook up to it you take responsibility for it. The owner could say it was fine when he left it, a small scratch on the hood and a flat tire, he was getting help and just look what you did to his rig…
The XJs on Kingston went late last year and got stuck ion the first day of a couple of days of snow that closed the trail. There was no way to get them until thaw. I'd guess they've been damaged / crushed to whatever extent by feet of snow, but otherwise may just drive out. IDK.
just curious, did these xj folks get stuck or how are they still on the trail? ive been to the gate on the east side twice now so im curious where they were abandoned. its a shame to have to walk away from your rig

The full story should be at the link above. Two XJs were stuck in snowfall just before the trail closed for the season last fall.
