We went to Red Fleet north of Vernal Utah. Monday was fun; we fished and went swimming and paddled around with our blow up boats. With all the sandstone, It is kind of like Moab with water. We had a good time until it started blowing. Then it started raining. This continued until 5am. NOT the forecast we found from multiple sources. We had sand in the tent and layered on everything in the tent. It was too cold to swim and I had been up until around 5am because of the lighting and thunder...the kind of lighting that lights up everything around you in daytime detail. We packed up and went to a motel. The next few days were spent in and around the monument, looking at pictographs, petroglyphs, dinosaur bones, and relics of the recent past.
