    Default My first snowcat ride

Yesterday we had to do some work at Horsetooth tower stie near Ft. Collins. The road wasnt in as bad of shape as we thought it would be, but any excuse to use the companys snowcat is a good one. It is a 1950's Imp...very cool. Had to ride on the back the way up, but got to drive it when we got to the top. Lots of fun, cant wait to do it again.

You ought to see if they would let you use that to do a little back country boarding or skiing.....

Ive already asked, and they said I could. I would just need to pay for gas to haul it and ride in it. I also need to find a good location, most places are either too covered in trees or they are private property. Any suggestions?!

That's cool. +1 on the backcountry idea, but I have no idea where is good.

Georgia Pass would be awesome!! I could also take you to a few places around Breck/ Keystone. I found a lot of cool places dirt biking and 4-wheelin.

I think there is Johnson Pass? It is off the highway just past Empire. It is a dirt road, so will certainly be snowed over in winter and has decent enough areas to back country ski.

Georgia, Johnson, anywhere someone thinks it would be cool, let me know so we could try to organize something

Well..if you want to call it the "back" I suppose you can fit 4, and 2 in the cab. The back has no seats and is exposed, there are gard rails, but when the tracks are moving it throws lots of snow over anyone in the "back"...
