Here's something I helped put together, spreadsheet with all info from Trail Damage loaded into it.

    http://cid-a6e89afb50ace13e.skydrive...4%20Trails.xls

You can sort them by all the categories at the top, shows 4 for the Colorado Springs area. The trail names are linked to Trail Damage for the individual trails.

Most of our local trails form a triangle between Florence Castle Rock and Wilkerson pass.

A long day here locally is Eagle Rock/Baldy/Bull Park There are also some fun spots off Rampart Range. Moab Hill on Illinois gulch is a great place for a stocker to bust a window. I heard Hackett was re-opened but haven't confirmed it. China Wall is good all winter long.

To add to this a bit: There are also a number of FS roads off of Tarryall Road besides ChinaWall. Off of Rampart, FS 322 (Ice Cave Creek Road or Balanced Rock Road depending on whose information you use) goes down to Palmer Reservoir, FS 323/324 makes for a good loop trail with some nice overlooks.

Both Hackett and Longwater Gulches are opened down to the river where they dead end, just like Metberry does. None of these trails cross the river anymore as this is where the county line is. Here is the link to the August 9,2009 IH8MUD trip report:

    Thanks; I'll check that out.

322 is Balanced Rock Rd. 323 is Winding Stairs. 324 is Ice cave creek. For whatever reason, some maps are incorrect. Unfortunately those have been graded this year and are even smoother than Rampart Range Rd! Maybe a few feet of snow can make 'em fun.....

Here is a very recent (October 25,2009) traildamage.com report for almost all of the trails this thread mentioned. It is on their start page under Most Recent Runs. Looks like they ran everything in the area...

Also look at the Funtreks books by Charles Wells.

Here's a link to the 2nd Edition of Charles Wells excellent "Guide to Colorado Backroads 4-Wheel Drive Trails" which covers the trails south of I-70,

    http://www.funtreks.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=6&pro duct_tab=trails

If you order from his site, you can get the spiral bound versions which are great. The spiral bound version is worth it.

With the Funtreks book for your area (there's also a "Northern Colorado" book that covers North of I-70), and traildamage you've got nearly everything you need.
