    Default Beard trimmers/recommendations

So my Remington MB 35 finally won't hold a charge so I go out to Wally world and pick up some $18 Remington 8 n 1 piece of you know what. So, I decide to see if I can get new batteries for my old one. Once I finally get it apart I see it has 2 AA nickel cad batteries in it that are soldered together at the ends. Anyway I can tell this project is probably not worth the hassle as dropping the coin a new trimmer.

Anyone, have a beard trimmer they love?

Whatever you do don't get one of those cheap Norelco/Philips vacuum ones.

    I have one.

    It doesn't suck.

    It's supposed to suck.

It trims fine but doesn't collect the hair in the little bin anymore. It just clogs up where it's supposed to go in.

I have found that I look like Willy Nelson when I have any kind of beard...this isn't a good thing and it grows completely white. My beard trimmer is a double edged razor blade....

I use the cheap Phillips from Target, lasts a long time and replacement is probably cheaper than good batteries.

Wahl for the dome. Norelco three-head for the face, with a flip-out thingy for trimming the stash and spit catcher.

I'm with Brody on the beard. I look too Appalachian. Think "Deliverance."

I have a Wahl hair trimmer that I use for everything... beard trimming and hair cuts. It also came with a smaller battery powered one that is great for travel, and also for trimming around the beard.
