I was wondering when Todd was going to to that...... I love that rig... SOOOO NICE..
Looks great Joe!
Looks good, where do you get the lock downs for these?
Austin hardware is a good place.
HMMM never heard of them where are they located?
here is a good place to get some do it yourself tire carrier parts

I use different latches for different applications. i.e. pulling down, backwards, in, etc... I have found that Mcmaster Carr has the best assortment of latches as long as you know what you are buying and don't mind the wait on shipping. Here
looks really good!
Thanks everyone. BTW
Thanks for the links guys, I used Mcmaster Carr at work they have a lot of useful things, but am definitely going to check out the others too doesn't hurt to have a good supply of sources.
sweet looking
Looks really nice! Rumor had it that you did nice work
I copied all these sources over to a seperate thread in 'Tech Links' titled Tire Carrier and Hinge Sources.
Thanks for the information!
Good Job Brody, Finished Product
I love that rig! That RRC makes me think about chopping the hitch and building one into my bumper!
Joe...what is the pull pin located right by the actual hinge for?
And did you check out the trick tire carrier that Scotty at Addicted Off Road did? I don't know where it is posted, but my guess would be under vendors. He does some nice outside the box thinking as does Ken(Gecko Cycles)...
If you look the pi slides into a plate to hold it in the OPEN position.... so it doesn't close on you..
Pin on the far right side is for locking the carrier open. It is spring activated and just inserts into a hole. I did see the one that Scotty made! Very outside of the box and a good solution for those pulling trailers.
Thanks!
BTW...haven't heard back from my Raytheon friend yet, though I did e mail him. I'll keep you posted...
