Default Any skiers/snowboarders in the group?

Like wheeling, skiing is more fun in a group for me, and I currently don't have any local ski buddies. If anyone else ski's/snowboard's on Ikon pass and wants to meet up let me know! I'll be in Steamboat this weekend, but am looking to go once a week when I can the rest of the season. I work M-F so unfortunately I have to go on weekends and fight the crowds/traffic, but I haven't found it to be too bad so far if I get out before 7am. Let me know!

Have fun in Steamboat! Heard they could get up to 2ft of snow through the weekend.
I love to ski but unfortunately my weekend time these days is spent with the kids/family. If I can get a hall pass, Ill definitely hit you up.

I put about 120-140 days on snow each winter - but not many of them in Colorado anymore. If you make it up to MT, drop me a line.....

Wow thats amazing, would love to be able to do that! Are you near Big Sky? I was there a few years ago, awesome mountain! Can't make it this year unfortunately, but maybe I can do a road trip and hit Jackson and Big Sky next year...

It's been a little rough around here too this year, but I'm going up to Steamboat this weekend and they are getting pummeled! Should be some good skiing..

If you can head up early Isak. Heard Rabbit Ears pass might get shut down.

We don't have any plans for Saturday other than checking in and getting some dinner, so we are planning to leave late after all the ski traffic, with the thought that we will take or time. Hopefully the roads don't get closed though that might really throw a wrench. The forecast is showing more snow on Sunday now so I'm also hoping Saturday won't be as bad. At this point I'm assuming a 6 or 7 hour trip so anything under that will be a bonus lol

How was your trip Isak? Saw Steamboat got feet of snow this past weekend.

It was a great trip! We left Saturday around 10:30am and the drive up was slower going due to road conditions but traffic wasn't bad at all, took about 5 hours with a long stop for lunch. That night we got dumped on, about 16" of snow (see photos below).

Unfortunately I don't have the full Ikon pass so I wasn't able to ski on Sunday, but we explored the town and went to Strawberry Hot Springs which was awesome, highly recommend! On Monday I went skiing and it was a cold one! But plenty of powder left to be found on the mountain so well worth it for the skiing.

We were supposed to drive back after I finished skiing, but the storm closed down Rabbit Ears and I-70 so we booked one of the last hotel rooms in Steamboat for the night and drove back yesterday. Seems like that was the case for everyone as the drive back took us 9 hours! Our first experience with Colorado storms and road closures, we fared pretty well, but will certainly have more supplies ready in case we aren't lucky enough to get a hotel room next time!

Great photo! and you guys really did get a lot of snow. You did more snow wheeling on that trip than you did on the New Years Day run. Did you ski Christmas Tree Bowl or any of the back areas?
Glad you made the decision to stay in Steamboat Sunday night. Silverthorne was a mess with the highways closed and all the hotels were booked up.

Haha yea there was a lot of snow wheeling driving around town! I even got to use my new recovery gear to help a woman get unstuck. The back side was actually closed the day I went because it was snowing and really windy that day, so I kept mostly to the Sundown lift and trees in that area which was pretty good. I'll be going back for a group trip in March and will hopefully get to explore the whole mountain.
