Thinking something easy and close and quick. Perhaps Switzerland trail one day next weekend (25th or 26th) Health issues are limiting me.
If no interest I will likely go solo. If interest I will post it up.

If my jeep's back, I could (though odds are essentially zero)...
`shop gave me some undesirable news this week. It went in for rear pinion seal replacement (done, only a very small groove on the pinion surface - their recommendation is to run it as-is vs sleeve it or replace it). The issues come in with the front axle - it was in for passenger side seals replacement. When they went to uninstall they found VERY loose bearings - that caused damage.
The spindles, aftermarket Ford Ranger with locking hubs, have two lock nuts to keep the taper bearings tight - those locknuts have a locking ring between them. The ring has a tang that fits into a groove on the threaded spindle. The tang rotated into the threaded area and damaged some threads. Loose bearings (ie VERY loose) caused damage to several surfaces - inner bearing's outer race to knuckle (race was spinning a bit), the brake pad backing plate slides on - on the knuckle, the brake caliper, outer area for the caliper pins.
The maintenance finger wholly points at me lacking maintenance on the system. The nut tightening has been an issue. I replaced the nuts and lock ring and researched proper tightening. I have the socket for the outer nut but not a wrench to hold the inner nut. This inner wrench will now be purchased for me to tighten the system with assurance. I'll want to check for slop more frequently. Ugh. This is notice that I need to give the jeep proper attention.
I asked the shop to tend the "inside the axle" items and I'll tend the outside the axle items. They'll complete their work and I'll drive it home (likely some time next week) and pull it into the garage for proper work.

Hey Tom - I am good for the 25th, are we thinking this is a snow wheeling day?
Jim - If you want to ride along or or drive (I know you love that JL refinement ) let me know. I apparently have a small roll of your trash bags from The Maze to get back to you.

I'm out for the year, Tom. I hope my Jeep lasts through the winter as my DD without major work. (Plus, I hate winter)! I hope get to feeling better soon. Happy Holidays!

Well of course,
CBS weather, “cooler weather arrives on Thanksgiving. Then much colder weather and a chance for snow arrives on Friday.”
