Apex Road - Sat July 16. Trail run report

Jason, Matt, and I met up at 9 AM. Discussed trails and attempted to go up miners gulch. Found it impassable with our current setup so headed around and ran Kingston peak. After that Jason and Matt headed up Yankee Hill. And I with my health issues didn’t want to over do it so headed home. No photos for me but Jason should have a bunch of video.

Great seeing and wheeling with you again Tom! Jason and I ran from Alice up past Yankee hill and then took the 175.3D road that joined 772.1 and took us back to the start of Kingston peak to make it a complete loop! Then we ran Elk Park road to Apex and hung a left/north and took Moon Gulch down to Rollinsville, where we aired up. Great day on the trails today! There was a lot of water flowing, love seeing this much snow up high in July!

Miners Gulch - we attempted to climb this short but difficult trail north to south. Unfortunately Jason’s stock Jeep just didn’t have enough clearance to climb the obstacle and got hung up on the belly pan even after multiple tries and a Little Rock stacking. We decided to turn back and wheel all day instead! Miners is definitely a 5/6 difficulty right now!

Here's a video, mostly focused on miners Creek. I didn't get as much good four-wheeling footage as I hoped for it, so I'll be getting another round to put the 360 camera in a better position.
