2023-05-27 - Kelly Flats - West to East - Bypass route

Tom and I met at Ted's Place and made quick work getting to the trailhead. Wile the campgrounds were full or near full, the highway was EMPTY. I found this quite odd. The scant few vehicles on the road played nicely together - we pulled over for faster traffic and other slower traffic pulled over for us - the way it should be.

Tom and I aired down at the Sevenmile Road trailhead for a smooth ride to the top of the canyon. At the western trailhead for Kelly Flats was a pickup and large trailer with a four place side-by-side. A family with a few little kids were out to enjoy the day.

We did encounter maybe four vehicles heading at us (set of two side-by-sides and two full size) as we headed east to The Chutes. That play area was empty so we kept moving. At the intersection for the bypass there was a bit of activity as we awaited at the top for a couple SxS's and two full size. A couple quads were milling about as well. From there Tom and I headed down the bypass and out.

The eastern trailhead was about 1/2 full.

Sounds and looks like a good day.

That last photo - with the animal in the roadway - was right about where the jeep turned 200,000 miles.

33 Years old. 200,000 Miles.

6060.6060 Miles per year.

It was a really good day until driving home. Got really dizzy and barely made it home. Called 911 and they took me to the ER for about 5 hour. Some better now but still rather miserable.

Really sucks getting old.
