    Default Introduction

    Hi Everyone
I am Leland, and my wife name is Nancy. We are retired and have been living in Aurora for 8 years now. We never thought about joining a 4x4 club until this year. I got hooked on watching Matt's Off Road Recovery and then migrated to watching all of the 4X4 trails in CO videos. There is so much beauty to be seen. Yes we are newbies to 4 wheeling. Jim ask me to post pictures of my rig. My daily driver is a 04 Tundra lifted, A/T tires, ARB rear locker, on board compressor and a 12000lb winch. Having said that we might show up in a Jeep, or a 4 runner , I am literally at the cross roads on making that decision as I speak. Regardless we are looking forward to meeting everyone and having a great time discovering new things.

    1) Welcome to the group!

    2) I deleted the "other" intro thread - no worries

    3) I think which vehicle to use may well come to be trail dependent - you'll pick the vehicle best matched for the trail. A rear locker would be nice for more technical trails - but a more technical trail might not like the rear overhang of the TRD. The TRD and it's rear locker might come into play on a snow run (which are typically of the easier type of trail - snow depth makes for the difficulty).

I'd be interested in a pic or few of the Jeep and 4Runner!

What type of trails do you think you might be interested in - Trails with grand scenery (my pref) or trails with technical difficulty?

there are a couple solutions to that....the most common being lift it more and go bigger tires!
