Default Snow wheeling & harvest a Christmas tree this weekend? 12/3-12/4

Howdy! Any interest in some snow wheeling and cutting down a Christmas tree this weekend? I have a buddy who wanted to go out but if we're driving in the snow on trails, I will heed my own advice and go with a minimum of two. His 4Runner is out of commission right now so he's going to ride along in my Jeep.

Neither of us have chopped our own tree here before but we found this: https://www.recreation.gov/tree-permits#locations

I've done it when I was like 7 with my parents. We're only going to get one tree, I don't need one because I'm gone 3/4 of December.

Anyone interested in wheeling and getting a tree?

Maybe Lamartine Road to Cascade Creek? Looks like that falls within the acceptable Clear Creek Ranger District. I've never been there so I'm not sure how many trees are available.

FYI you can get pretty far back near Fraser - on the weekends there are usually enough people there you should not need support. I have been to the Elk Creek cutting area a number of times.

Well, the tree hunt is canceled. He decided to get one at a tree farm locally. Anyone down for wheeling?

Late to your thread. I would love to get a shakedown run in next week for the new lift.

Not really sure what is open, but I have winch that still needs some abuse.

Mondays and fridays are difficult this week, i am doing 4v30 shifts at the boarding facility.

Also wednesday evening my wife wants to leave around 4:30 for somwthing for my birthday.

Saturday I am busy until around 4pm.

Any other time I am free. (Working for myself currently, so plenty of availability)

Also I am booked up sunday.

The more I think about it the less wildy open I realize I am.
