Jason and I met up at a gas station in Georgetown this morning. (That wasn't planned, but we both happened to pull in there at about the same time). Good start! We aired down at the trailhead and started up. It was a beautiful morning and not many people on the trail at first. One obstacle at the beginning (not bad) and then just a really bumpy ride with a lot of spurs you could take. As we got closer to the top, the altitude started getting to Jason and he wasn't feeling well. He chose to take the trail back down while Britton and I continued to the top. We passed a lot of people on their way down and ran into 3 more vehicles at the top. It was a clear blue sky with very little wind - perfect! We got a text from Jason that he made it back to town and was fine!
We passed a lot of vehicles on the way down. They had a pretty late start in my opinion. There's not a lot of room for passing on that narrow shelf but everyone cooperated which was great. We took a few pics:
