    I got one of these kits last year as an emergency backup if needed. Have not used it but it’s there in the back of the Jeep …. Just in case

    Thinking about doing the same thing. It's pricey for what you get, about $50.00 for some adhesive, rubber and sandpaper. I wonder what the adhesive is, and if you could use any rubber with it. It also seems awkward the way he applies it in drops, and he has to go back and touch it up before it even dries. I'm suspicious of the break in video there. A different container / applicator might be better, maybe something with a brush like rubber cement.

    Interesting product.

    As to his "dots" method having a leak - I agree - I could see running a spiral line or "circles" of adhesive around the hole out to the edge of the patch.

    So, what would a typical bicycle patch kit with some flexible epoxy quick-set adhesive do?

    Who has a sacrificial tire at hand for testing...
