New member introduction
Hi everyone, my name is Isak and I live in Denver. I moved here in April and love outdoor activities (hiking, biking, camping, skiing) and wrenching, so I bought a cheap truck I could fix up to get me through snow and some fire roads. I decided I want to have a little more fun with it, so I made some light modifications to be able to hit some moderate trails. The truck is a 2001 Mountaineer V8 (unfortunately the big engine only came with AWD so no 4-low, and no locking diffs). I lifted it about 3” (new leafs, add a leaf, shackles, torsion twist), and got 31” tires (the biggest that fit without cutting anything). I’m new to off roading but I did Yankee Hill with a buddy and the truck handled it comfortably, and I got excited for more. I’m 35 and work full time so will be looking to tag along on some weekend trips here and there. I’m excited to join the community, and look forward to meeting everyone!
