Nice day. Ironclads and Bunce much more difficult than the last time I was there.
no pix just an aprs track.

I trekked north out of Peaceful Valley - saw a 4-place side by side running south on the highway, u-turned behind me and headed north behind me. He pulled off where his pickup & trailer were - I stopped and asked if he was looking for the east entrance of Bunce - nope - just running on the road - odd.
At the intersection for 7 there was a line. I and three toyota's U-turned and headed in on Bunce to exit the north trailhead - skipping the traffic (but it was probably the same amount of time, if not longer, but I was moving the whole time).
The old Sahara YJ with the guy and gal we saw on Ironclads were just pulling out of Bunce. We chatted for a minute - they tried a clockwise Ironclads (likely bypassing the ledge) and when they came to the uphill, left 270deg turn that was well rocky, they turned back. They went south on Bunce until the spot where it again gets rocky - and turned back. They were out and enjoying the day.
From the north end of Bunce I trekked to Estes hitting the western side of town and passing through downtown (almost). I took the "truck route" downtown bypass - which had enough traffic - on the way to Glen Haven. Cinnimon Roll enjoyed it was down to Drake and home.
Yesterday (or thursday) I heard a weather alert on the radio - flash flood in Larimer county - head to high ground. It seems the drainage out of Glen Haven saw a large amount of water last night or a day earlier. Water over the road and high / new dark sides on the creek.
This run built confidence again in my Jeep. When I did this run several weeks ago, I experienced Death Wobble going home - 2 hours of drive a mile, shake like you know what, rinse and repeat. That
did not happen this time so it looks like the lift is finished and now we do the fun stuff, removing all the stock bumpers and installing new metal ones and a winch. Plus armor for every piece of the
underside!! It feels different to have a 4.5 in lift and 35's. Bunce road must have been much more difficult last summer when I did it because I found it challenging this time but definitely more fun.
Johnny Park is such a fun run to see the Indian Peaks wilderness area and Rocky Mountain NP.
I did hear a funny sound when I got close to US 36 but decided it was from the bumper and the rear flair hitting each other with the right resonance frequency.
Good day for Jeeping.

Thanks for the photos Jim.
Sean: Were you getting any wheel rubbing? Not that it would be bad - just curious.
