Default So long, and thanks for all the trips

I have decided to move to Rocklin, California area to be closer to my nephews and the rest of my wife's family as she isn't thriving in Colorado. It's been a blast, but I'll be closing my account as I won't be living in the front range any longer, but I'll be in the Tahoe area so if anyone ends up out there and wants to catch up or run Rubicon or Fordyce hit me up. My email is my username at gmail.com or feel free to share my phone number around with anyone who asks if you already have it and my name comes up.

I'll be hitting the road for California at the end of the month, figured might as well just rip the bandaid off and get this move done quickly instead of dragging it out for months on end.

Thanks for all of the fun times folks, I have loved my time in Colorado and hope that someday I'll end up living in this area again, but for now it's time to move onto the next chapter for me.

    -Shane

That's a bit of news! Sorry to see you head'n away but what's best for you and family is the priority.

As for members that move away - you can keep your account rolling. The 1-run per year is waived. If you let your account go inactive, you could ask to reactivate it if you have a desire.

Another member (I won't say a name as I do not recall them making a public post) is moving near the Rubicon trail and with it being a favorite for James - I could see a Front Range group run to it before long (I should run it).

Happy Trails. If there's any moving task we can help with - just holler.

If you do wish your account inactivated or even deleted right away, just let me know. Letting it roll (and maybe go inactive later) is the typical for folks that move away though.

I'll just let it roll, figured I should leave the account up in case anyone in the future gets a kick out of my build thread.

I'm already seeing if I can do my first ex-fr4x4 run with Gerald (although it may end up just a touch too early for me to make it work) with https://cal4wheel.com/sierra-trek August 11-14th on Rubicon and Fordyce. I'll definitely try to make it back to Colorado at least every couple of years, this place is too wonderful not to come back to.

Well damn. I never had a chance to hit a trail with ya but.
I don’t blame ya, you have a grain life and enjoy Tahoe, it’s some beautiful country...

Shane you will be missed! You always added a very uniqueness to our day (that is rare). And will surely do the same with the new group you roll with out there too. Hope all goes well for you and hope to see you again some day.

My brother just moved to a town 45 min east of SF, so I would try and make any Rubicon run that comes together. You'll be missed my friend!

I have a daughter living north of Carson City - and after only being out there once I really liked that area. I'm sure there are plenty of trails a little tamer than Fordyce and the Rubicon that are worth hitting!

Speaking of the new group I roll with, the funny part will be that since Gerald is out that way as well and we will definitely be wheeling together the new group will have a bit of the old.
