Default Yankee Hill, East-to-West, in a Stock AWD, 5/28/22

A little late to the post, but wanted to share my Yankee Hill run I did last week. East-to-West in a stock Bronco Sport Badlands. I've dealt with lots of haters of this vehicle (none here so far), so it was VERY satisfying to get through this trail with zero damage, especially as this was my first trail run on anything harder than a 2/10 rating from OnX.

Video of me clearing the quarts mine "bypass"

The trail was wet, but not flooded or muddy. A couple snow ruts here and there, but not enough to stop my lower clearance vehicle. Definitely glad the AWD system on the Sport is exquisite. I had zero traction issues crawling over larger smooth rocks even with the wet, even on lines where my buddy's 4Runner (mostly stock) needed to reline or bump.

That said, I need a lift. Way too many areas that should have been simple but required me to take some careful lines to avoid bottoming out. Fortunately, the Badlands has some very formidable oem plating.

Thanks for the write-up. Many will find the info good to hear - it's a new vehicle.

There is no PERFECT vehicle - all are compromises. Run-whatcha-brung.

Congrats that's awesome. I've had people tell me I can't go 4 wheeling in my truck too it's great to drive what you want and how you want to make it yours.

Amen to that... luke, it can change drastically from obstacle to obstacle when I am on a run with a short wheel base we trade off on easy to difficult 😀

Nice, Yankee Hill is definitely what I'd call a "high clearance 4x4" trail. Its an accomplishment for sure
