    Default Exploring near Leadville 5/7/2022

Although many trails up here are still covered in snow resulting in a few instances where we'd go for a bit and had to turn back, there was still enough to explore lower in altitude to make for a full day.

We headed for the wilderness and just drove whatever trails we saw.

I think my lens was smudged, but here's my pics - https://imgur.com/a/EjZzqRE

I'm home. Arrived about 8:45p. It was an enjoyable day out. The air was CRISP and CLEAR and the mountain vistas were FANTASTIC. Surprisingly warm too - though the wind was crazy in places.

I'll be reviewing pix and GPS log shortly.

Traffic on 70 was sparse - both in the morning and the evening (quite enjoyable). I-25 was moving at road speed but was heavy coming home.

Mark - here's the water pipe / railroad crossing:

It looks like we could have taken it either way for an out.
