Default Decided to keep the TJ and fix it up

The last time I wheeled the TJ was with a bunch of you guys last year on MSV and Coney flats. My throw out bearing started squealing like a banshee on that run and the Jeep has been parked on my property since. Was planning on selling it before the clutch problem so now I’ve decided to have the clutch replaced and do a bunch of other upgrades and keep the Jeep! I’m getting new shocks all around, replacing all worn suspension links on the long arms and any steering linkage joints. Doing ball joints and upgrading axle shafts too (probably going rcv but not sure yet). I will also replace the soft top with a brand new one and she needs a new windshield also!
Then I probably will put 37’s on and wheel it like crazy!!!

Glad you decided to keep it. I was debating the same thing on my own TJ 2 years ago and decided to do the same thing, keep it, build it, wheel it
Currently running 37's but stretched the wheel base as much as I could for clearance and drive line angles.

Heck - it already has scratched paint - use it on the tight and rugged trails and keep the new paint nice. It's nice to have choices...

I was really not wanting to sell in the first place, but when I got the new Jeep the wife wanted me to sell the "old" jeep. I love it so when I get the clutch fixed and upgrade some suspension and steering joints it should be back on the trails again!

Awesome! Let me know how the ball joints and axle shafts go, I've had similar thoughts

Ball joints are on my to-do list. I replaced front axle shafts with Chromoly axle shafts a year or two ago. It wasn't a hard job at all. I should have done ball joints at the same time since I had everything apart. Hardest part was putting the axle nut (36 mm?) back on since you have to wedge something against the axle so it won't spin while you tighten. Air impact made removal simple.
