Hi everybody! Just recently joined in order to find folks to go out wheeling with. Nothing too hardcore as I'll be in my daily driver which is a 2016 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk.
I put a 2 inch lift on it and plan to put on bigger tires once the ones I'm on wear down a little more. My 14 year old son is my wheeling buddy and will almost always be out with me. We did Rainbow Falls with a group and a few other trails we found out of a FunTreks book.
I've lived in the Frederick/Firestone area for the last 15 years but the Cherokee is my first off road semi-capable vehicle. My goal is to find folks/groups to go out with so that we are never to far from assistance if needed. We would also like to find and get to more remote dispersed camping areas to get away for a night or two from time to time. I also do a little bit of light trail/mountain biking.
I work as a recruiter in the oil & gas industry and love every minute of it.

While a lot of the trails the group takes are day trips, there are several here that look for overnight travel - keep your eyes open as well as post up runs - single day or multi day - as you're interested.

I appreciate it! For the most part, day trips is where we'll be leaning. Overnight will be very occasional when our schedule allows for it. I'll keep an eye on planning and planned runs!

Welcome to Front Range 4x4, Reading your intro; we might have to plan a trip with our mnt. bikes in tow. I'm an old fart but still love riding as much as my body will allow.
If you are able to join us this Saturday that would be great. I'm dog sitting my daughter's dog. So we are going to hike and camp after our trail ride Saturday.
