Default Looking to schedule a 14'er hike - snow pack and thunderstorm Q's

    Hey Folks,

A buddy is looking to schedule a summertime visit to hike a 14'er (Mount Sherman most likely - an easier hike).

    1) I'm wondering if resources exist that document snow conditions for different hikes?

    2) Also, when does afternoon thunderstorm season get active in Colorado?

    Thanks

14ers.com is a really good resource. It not only contains route info, but also trip reports. June is the beginning of mtn thunderstorms usually, but it really has a lot to due with temp rise during the day so a very warm spring could push it back a bit.

I’ve done Sherman. One can drive to near 12,200'.

I have been trying to get past the issue with my legs as I'd like to do a final 14er while I am 70. Was thinking Sherman or Bierstadt. And wqs just looking at Sherman on 14ers.com yesterday.

Got a book your friend can have if they desire.
