Thread: Low speed crash

    Default Low speed crash

Going to work yesterday morning and a 16 year old was taking a snowy corner to fast and clipped me. I saw him coming and gunned it, I tried to get as far as I could into the snow bank before he hit me. Amazing I only lost a rear tire. He says he'll pay for it, we'll see. I do have to say that he was a stand up young man who stayed and helped me change the flat tire, those 37s are really heavy. We had to let the air out of it because my jack was a 1/2" to short and I did not want to break out my hi lift. My compressor had frozen water in the line, bummer. He took me home so I could get my other compressor. He was a good boy and he did this all while he and his girlfriend were celebrating valentines. Even if he doesn't replace my tire I am still impressed with this young man.

Where did this happen? The kid did the right thing! I bet he scored a couple points with his girlfriend for sticking around and helping to get you back on the road.

I was the sorry 16 year old on Saturday. Someone stopped in the middle of very, very icy road to let someone ahead of them turn. I saw them from what had to be over 100ft away but there was nothing stopping the J10 w/ a sled in the back. The truck is fine but the van I went into isn't. No injuries though

Bummer, winter time crashes. Fortunately for the two of us there was minimal damage on both vehicles. Glad your truck is ok.
