Ah, now I remember it - very steep uphill to a right turn bend (that's where I turned back to meet you folks). It had a higher difficulty than the trails we came in on. I'd be up for a re-visit / poke about the spurs.

You available to check out the area next Weds 1/26? We could meet around 930ish, spend 3-4 hours exploring the area. The Willys handled most of it pretty well, only had to get towed once.

Yea I remember that steep climb. I thought the YJ would flip backwards if I tried it, hah!

Have any of you returned recently? I got my first Jeep last Friday, did Switzerland trail and it was a blast! I'm now searching the internet for winter trails in northern Colorado area for a trip next Sunday morning! Not a lot out there about trip reports during winter I'm finding.

It doesn't seem like it has many people are four wheeling right now. We are just getting into ski season with some better snow.

I would be up for Sunday morning run around Nederland, as the lower elevation means there are still some open trails. We could also head over the hill to the Idaho springs area where I was today, with not a lot of snow

My neighbor needs to be back to Windsory by 3pm and if that can happen, we might be down for that then. Some guys from the overlandbound.com website were thinking about Yankee Hill. Any trails in particular you're interested in running around Nederland or Idaho Springs? I will look them up! I freaking love this Jeep though!

I don't know what trails will be clear on Sunday, but you can install the all trails app and that is pretty helpful for researching trails. Let's meet up in Nederland at 8:30 on Sunday if that works for you.

I'm usually up for winter wheeling, just been busy working on my rig the past couple of weekends. I should be ready to hit the trails again in a week or two though.
