I'm heading out in a few. A bit disappointed I haven't seen any fresh snow but I'm sure we'll have a great time anyway.
By the time I finished airing up my tires, enough snow had fallen to cover your tracks out for the road, and 119 look like a blizzard. Good times and I will post a video later.
Here's a short clip of you powering up that obstacle in the deep snow. Wait till the last few seconds for that awesome sound:

I'm having trouble with my upload speed, mountain life
But this summed up the day nicely
That is my new favorite video, thanks for the excellent camera work. Sounds like I might need a belt wrap kit, it's properly tensioned but definitely squeals when it gets wet.
I had my phone recording video when we were going down the slick section in Gordon Gulch, that was fun.

Excellent!

Where was that stone house at the trail's edge?
I couldn't tell you exactly, but it was at the end of a short spur that had an old tractor.

It's pretty close to where you came and pulled my LR4 off the trail Jim.
Thanks!
It looks neat - something to put in the mental pocket to show a guest.
I hit it up every time I am on Switzerland, it's my favorite part for some reason. I love the tractor down there too.
I was right there on this trip but don't recall the building - I'll have to re-visit:

Is this the tractor you mention (a gasoline engine driven air compressor)?
That's the one. In the background of that picture, if you go up that little spur 200 yards you would see the building.

Thanks - now I know where to look! I have not traveled much past the compressor. From your map it looks like you've checked out all spurs in the area!
Yeah, but wouldn't recommend the other way. If you go past the tractor it splits off a few hundred yards past, one is a dead end with nothing to see, the other is a hill-climb back up to Switzerland, and it's way overgrown. Pretty much SxS and dirt bike trail now.
