Thread: Stay the trail advertisement

    Default Stay the trail advertisement

I subscribe to a number of different magazines that focus on 4 wheeling and this is the first time I've seen this notice which is about time. I was at the top of Rock Cr. yesterday and it was clear that a street legal vehicle went past the Stop dirt humps the forest service builds to mark the end of the trail. It would be cool if these were at the beginning of every trail.

I recently saw a trailer with a double sided billboard of that in Moab at a trailhead. There is, or was a large version of it posted at Gross Reservoir.

Thanks for the link Tom. The Western United States has been in draught for so long I wonder if Gross will even fill to the top once the project is completed. Lake Powell is practically empty, Salt Lake is rapidly disappearing and so many more.

I heard (put that in the column of solid facts - lol) that a significant issue with the GSL level is the amount of water being pulled out of the lake by industry. That's something within human control.

I've heared the same thing about Salt Lake but when you get right down to it most water shortages can be directed at humans and their Kentucky Blue Grass, shower heads that are 16" in dia., swimming pools, golf courses and so much more, It's all madness.
