Default Yankee Hill to Miner's Gulch

I have yet to do the Miner's Gulch section of the Yankee Hill trail network, would like to do it this week, probably Friday the 26th but with no Thanksgiving plans I can do Thursday as well.

I think the weather should hold up.

This is more of a medium to harder trail and with potential for some snow on it I would expect some challenge.

    Edit:

There are reports of Miner's Gulch being impassable, so I think we'll just try it and if not explore some of the rest of the Yankee Hill network.

I was thinking of something Friday or perhaps Saturday.

    Miner's Gulch sounds interesting.

I'm at home on Thurs - food!

You guys are killing me...first the Chinaman run, and now Miners gulch...two trails I really like. I put the cj up for the winter last week after a good cleaning and winter prep - just not interested to have to go through that all again. Besides, I've got other stuff to work on....I mean, isn't that what wrenching, eh I mean jeeping, is all about.

If you get a last minute desire to not wrench - ride along - my pass seat will be empty for ya.

Take solace in being smart and wrenching in the off season. I was wrenching mid season and missing good weekends!

I’m up for something on Friday or Saturday. I’m not sure if Shane made it to Spring Creek today, but that may be an option as well.

Ok, I'm down for that. Might make me wish I'd pulled the trigger on 35s and was quicker about installing my sliders. Are interested parties preferring Friday or Saturday? Not sure there'd be any change in traffic

I skipped out on spring creek, started getting super sleepy on the drive home so decided to just head home and nap. Looking forward to it Friday though. Either day works for me though if we need to change it for any reason.

I'm a maybe, either day. My wife wants to go skiing and I don't want to spend 6 hours on I-70...

Whats the scoop on Miner's Gulch? Lockers necessary?

I ran it without lockers earlier this year. Needed to winch off a big rock and took a really sketchy line to get up the big obstacle.
