Got my first jeep in 2001 a 95xj 5 speed. I put 50000 miles on it in the first year of owning it exploring our great state. Also that year I got it high centered on a tree root that was snow covered. Luckily a fellow jeeper coming the other way helped get me unstuck and in the process his jeep died and wouldn't start so I towed him out off the trail. It didn't stay stock for long after that. Joined the MHJC club and enjoyed the fun of wheeling over the years. Have stayed active in the wheeling community and was also a member of the colorado trail patrol. Fast forward years and I lost my wheeling partner then took a job that had me working 6 to 7 days a week. So didn't wheel much then in 2016 I destroyed my motor when I accidently shifted from 3rd into 2nd instead of 4th. It high rev'd the motor and jumped the timing. Decided to swap in a motor I went looking for one. In the process I came across a one owner 96XJ 5 speed. Purchased it for the motor but friends and the wheeling community convinced me to keep it stock because it was in such nice shape. So that is how I got my second jeep. I use it as my daily driver. In 2018 I'd had enough of working 6-7 days a week so decided to quit and do something different. On an impulse I purchased a Honda shadow motorcycle and decided to learn to ride. This past month I turned over 11k on the odometer. Most of the miles were put on in 2020 and 2021. Have decided its time to also get back to wheeling.
