"hopefully will figure it out tonight."
Good luck! Sorry to hear you had problems.
I had a great day on the trails. I joined after finishing up some work on the J10 lift and wanted to do a shake down. I saw the club was going to do Johnny Park and S Pierson Park and thought what a great set of shakedown trails, if not a bit boring from what I knew of their ratings. These trails are written up to be a snoozefest but I had to throttle out on at least two obstacles. Don't get me wrong, it was a lot of fun using the 401+ power but I bet there are going to be a lot of newcomers getting in over their heads if they see these written up as boring no-obstacle trails and going out alone on them.
We found a Silverado that I think had about the same lift as what a "Trail Boss" trim would have but didn't see the Trail Boss stickers. He pulled over to let us pass at one point I think on Johnny Park, and he actually came up to my truck to ask how much further and express his frustration at sites informing him it would be a good beginner trail and very easy. There are actually some parts where I'm surprised his rig wasn't damaged especially with the assumption that he was new to offroad driving.
Anyway it was a fun day with great weather (I like a bit of chill in the air) and all familiar faces for me. Jayson's 4Runner did a good job representing Toyota for the run. I like the aggressive stance it has with the lift and the tires look and function well. Mike's Jeep looked cooler than I'd ever seen it with his "core" doors I think they're called, and the last topless outing of the season.
