China Wall Anniversary Run!

Sat 6/26/2019 - 10am at trailhead

Can make a run on the trail etc, and then gather for a late lunch in the camping area at trailhead.
Some people may like to meet and caravan to the trailhead - feel free to discuss in planning thread.
Feel free to comment on your RSVP if you plan to camp either Fri and/or Sat night at trailhead.

Closest gas and other basic services to trailhead:
The town of Bailey on 285 if coming from the north on 285 through Jefferson to 77
The town of Lake George if coming from east via 24 to 77

Turn-out is looking a bit small for the big pot-luck portion of the run...with the late planning etc, probably its everyone for themselves when it comes to lunch? Those of you planning to attend on Sat, are you planning to camp Fri night or Sat night. Jen gets off work late on Fri - we probably wouldn't be able to head south to the trailhead until close to 7pm, so don't think its worth our effort to try and drive out that night and camp....Was thinking about camping Sat night though...anyone staying around Sat night?

I am not able to participate in pot luck this trip, either. Will be camping a few days before this in the area and will not be able to bring enough extra food. I am already committed to camp with some other folks this week and will be camping Fri / Sat nights, but not at China Wall. If you would like to join us for the evening Saturday contact me and I'll provide details.

It's been raining most of yesterday and today. Forecast for more of the same tomorrow. I still plan to be there at 10.

Same. Just finished wiring my winch up and installing a skid plate to protect my oil cooler. Would have liked to get more done today but it's good enough to head to China Wall.

I just finished wrestling my new soft top on. I've been procrastinating during all the hot sunny days that would have stretched it for me, tonight the rear window won't fit. It's on-ish, hopefully I'll get some sun tomorrow and be able to correct it. I guess it will be wet and muddy, but that's not a bad area for it. I'm just looking forward to getting out.
