    Default Hello from Windsor

    Hello everyone,

My name is Mike and my family just moved to the area. Being new, I’m hoping to find some people to hit some trails with. I’ve found some simple dirt roads, but haven’t hit anything harder for fear of getting stuck alone.

Anyway, here’s some pics to make this post worthwhile.

Here’s the TJ I built in PA. Wish I still had, of course.

And my current JL. Sorry for the lousy picture.

    Welcome to the group!

The PA TJ catches my eye though the current is kiddo friendly.

Thank you for that! I just came online to ask if you would be able to accommodate another vehicle. I'll go add myself now.

Saw your note on the calendar. No requirements. You have a radio so you're ahead of the game. A stock JL Rubicon will make easy work of this trail as long as the driver is up to the task -- you should have no problems. If you're not comfortable on an obstacle ask for a spotter and we'll get you through it or often there is a bypass or alternate route if you do not want to attempt something. Other than miner's gulch, there isn't much hard on the Pickle Gulch route for this weekend. Off the top of my head, there may be one or two small ledges in the lower section and a loose rock / scree climb with a couple larger rocks near the top. A Rubicon is usually a cheat-code for this stuff.

Not a problem. Guests are always welcome, except in rare cases(trail related as a rule, small parking areas, turn arounds, etc)

Saw your questions on the calendar. I am running Jk sport on 33s, 2.5” lift. I am not concerned. You’ll do fine. What Trent said about spotters, etc.

Thanks guys, I read through the planning thread and looked at the Trails Offroad descriptions of the trails - and I came to the same conclusion, that I should be fine. I'll try almost anything if you are willing to spot me through it.

I'm just happy to get off the dirt roads onto some better trails - my son was starting to get bored. LOL See you there.

And if he says "Dad, SEND IT!!!" - be very careful when he asks for the keys...

Welcome, and see you on the trails soon. Might even make the Yankee run tomorrow, depends on how productive I am in the garage today.
