This is becoming an annual exercise for you? Glad you are keeping it if you'll get to use it.

Have you considered renting it? I have a small itch to try a trailer. I'm content enough packing all items in the jeep - but trailers just keep scratching at the back of my mind.

That's funny Trent! I've seen the rental sites Jim but there's not enough profit in it to bother with a trailer like mine. If you want to try it you can borrow it for free, you'll need a basic 2" receiver and 4pin connector. It's not going to be useable for long though, I've been looking at teardrops and have the itch to build my own. I'm stripping it down to just the frame, widening it, extending and V-ing the tounge and building a teardrop body on it. So far it's a bunch of sketches and ideas I'm stealing from the internet but I hope to start on it next week, maybe even get to use it this season.

Nice! I spent many hours considering building a teardrop or other small trailer over the last 6 years. It always seemed like an ambitious thing to do myself. I'm happy with the extra space we have in our rectangular "square drop" style trailer compared to the classic teardrops we've seen or rented. Either way you go, it's very nice to not have fabric walls for comfortable 4 season camping.

I'm not doing a conventional teardrop shape either, too much work for just aesthetics. I'm planning along the lines of this guy's trailer, I like the pop-up and overall size:

Thanks for the kind offer. It sounds like you'll have it in conversion before I'd be interested in trying it (later this season). `best wishes getting it to be the way you want it to be!
