Too much crawl ratio?

Always lots of discussion about CR and how much gear reduction is needed....thought this piece of artwork sums it up well:

The best crawl ratio really depends on the engine and transmission you are working with. Also the terrain you're driving on. I had a JK with a manual and a 4 speed Atlas with a combined 238:1. It was great for slow crawling with an engine that doesn't make good low end torque. But if I was mudding and wanted wheel speed I wouldn't want anything like that.
