West Magnolia / Pintle & Lunette

I did a shakedown run for trailer mods / software and camera stuff through the campsites at West Magnolia this week. That area is coming back strong from Beetle Mitigation, I hadn't been there in about 5 years and it looks a whole lot better now. There are "baby forests", areas full of trees that are only about a foot tall. There are atleast 3 sets of people living there in buses, you can see them in the video. One surprised me, it's a crappy old yellow school bus with art and crap all over it; the owner was driving a Nissan Leaf, was dressed business casual, and had a Labradoodle. Can't judge by the cover / bus...



I also took a video of my Pintle / Lunette combo at work, and disappointed myself with how long I can stare at video of my trailer hitch so I cut it down to "only" 6 minutes. I need this pandemic to be over, I have too much free time.

I tried to run west mag yesterday and the gate on the south off the Tolland road has the seasonal gate closed north end had a bunch of work trucks and cones at p2p. Fs site said open but definitely was not.

They were working at the north side by 119 on Thursday when I shot that, you can see the barriers in the beginning, but I drove the trail from West Magnolia to Rollinsville and it was open, hiked the Observatory trail too. I'd guess it's temporary / day work??
