I've been on Metberry before but I didn't realize that this area was under so much "political turmoil." Apparently they've been battling to open the section of Hackett that is in Park county, but I believe it is still not open past the county line. There used to be a connecting trail between Hackett and Longwater I believe, but that is no longer open. All of the "gulches" are out and backs for now.
