I read the restrictions as "bag it or dig a cat hole" where we will be. Perhaps I misidentified the areas, but there were only a couple places called out where a cat hole is not permitted. It is clear that in all areas you are not to bury toilet paper and must pack that out. I have waste bags as well.

Anyone have links to where to make reservations and get any permits I need? I'd love to go on this trip, been a fairly boring summer so far.

Shane, we have room in our group if you want to join this trip! IceBox Ty has the second permit and I believe still has room for 2 vehicles to add to it. No need to get a permit if you want to join this trip! PM Icebox Ty if interested so he can add you to his permit

I booked a room for Weds and Thurs night. I would plan to wheel all day Thursday and a half day run on Friday (maybe something north or northeast of Moab so I can hit it on the way out of town).

The book cliffs along I-70 are interesting wheeling and there are petroglyphs and a ghost town to visit up here. Out 128 near Dewey are Top of the World, Onion Creek, and I think Dome Plateau. I've never run dome plateau, so that might be a good Friday trail if it is on the way out 128.

Thursday we should have time for Sevenmile and something else (if Sevenmile is what we want to run). At Thanksgiving last year we were able to run Sevenmile and Fins, though sun was setting when we finished Fins. Since we'll be two months earlier in the fall this time we should have plenty of daylight to run a couple trails in a day.

Where did you end up booking rooms? If they have another room I'd probably just book something there as well to save the effort of comparing places.

Trent, the Dome Plateau starts right across the bridge from Top of the world and it’s one of the best trails in the whole area imo. It’s moderate with some easy stretches of sandy roads in between easy/moderate rock crawling. Trailsoffroad calls it difficult but the optional Owl Draw is the only really difficult section... and it’s quite difficult imo. I stacked a bunch of rocks and was definitely sketched out by myself but ended up doing them fine (2 really hard obstacles and a couple moderate obstacles in a short stretch). This section can be completely bypassed.
It’s pretty long, 35 miles from start to finish. Took me about 4-5 hours. Here’s some pics from Dome Plateau last month

This is just 3 weeks from today so I figured I better bring this up and see who’s still in!

100% in. May have a passenger to add to the permit, but not certain yet.

I have to drop from this one. I had planned this with my kid going back to school in mind, but everything is homeschool now and there's no way for me to make it work with that being the case.

    have fun, guys!

That's too bad but understandable Jay.

This opens up another vehicle spot and I don't think my son will be taking my Jeep so we may have 2 additional vehicle spots..... in case anyone else is interested.

It’s almost here!!! I’m already packing up the truck and getting excited. My rock sliders did not make it here so I’m bummed but will just need to be super careful. My son dropped out so I’ll be solo, but I’ll see you guys out there!

Yep, scrambling to get ready here too since we leave Saturday. If you're anxious to go, you could still join us for rimrocker sat and sun.

The wife won’t let me leave early.... because I’m not coming back until Sat or Sun the following week.

I have room for another vehicle on our two passes for the Maze district, in case you wanna join Shane and I! We will spend Wednesday finishing Elephant hill and then heading over to the other side of the Colorado River for a few more days of exploring some of the most desolate roads in the lower 48!
