OK, since this got zero responses.... Here are my plans, on the off chance someone wants to tag along...

We are going to do Hackett Gulch tomorrow, planning to arrive at the trailhead about noon and running the trail. [I'll be towing the BBEB (Black '72 Bronco, 101" WB on 40" MT/Rs) behind my dark green Superduty.]

Following that, overnight at my cabin by 11 Mile Reservoir. (off Stoll Mountain Rd., @ 3.5 miles from the "Dream Stream")

Saturday, Chinamans Gulch, planning to arrive about 1000.

Saturday night, at the cabin by 11 Mile.

Monday, heading home, swapping the BBEB for the Ranger and heading up Old Stage Rd. probably running 370C and trails in that area, gotta shake out the Ranger.

This is the last post, so if you want to tag along, call me.

Used to love hitting the Dream Stream; can’t (and don’t even want to) imagine how crowded it is these days. Nice to have a cabin that close, get there before anyone and leave when the masses show up.

I hear you, everything is crowded these days, especially Holiday Weekends.... I seldom fish on the weekends, much prefer to hit it during the week when I'm between contracts.

Hackett was pretty busy on Saturday. We were all alone on the way down to the river, then met up with two bunches of Jeeps. They made sure and take off before us, and the first group had a guy overheat and/or vapor lock and was stalled out in the middle of the trail, maybe 1/2 mile up from the bottom. Took 30 minutes or so for them to clear him out, then it was pretty smooth sailing from there. The 2nd group let us pass them once we hit the first flat spot and we were off the trail and back to the tow rigs in about 3 hours round trip. Good trip overall.

Unfortunately, my SILs F350 ate the rear driver side parking brake components and put the kibosh to wheeling the next couple days. I've never seen something like that, I can only image it got a rock stuck in there and it just ground down all the parts.
