I signed up for a permit for White Rim last night. Going to run it June 10.
The permit allows overnight camping, I picked a spot right next to the river.

If you are interested in that day, I think I can adjust the permit to allow 3 vehicles ( no more than 15 people ).
I should have the permit emailed to me next week after I pay the 30 bucks.
They only allow 50 permits per day and we have to leave 30 minutes apart.

Almost certain it will be open for us by June.

I will get back to you by end of weekend. I’m skipping wheeling all weekend for Mother’s Day and she better agree to that week in Moab.... lol.

I absolutely want to go & will probably haul the Jeep out also so I can do some harder routes with you guys also. I will get back to you about this Sunday night!!!! I would be the only one wheeling, my son and wife hate it :(

I am pretty confident that I can swing that 6/8-12 time as well. I will start looking for hotels or what not this weekend! Never been to Moab so I am open for any and all trails!

You're in for some fun! "It's different" than Colorado. The basic of Hells Revenge is a great intro to the slick rock (with a nice Colorado River overlook).

So, there is a group of Powerwagon owners that has a list of good trails and to my surprise Hells Revenge and Poison Spider are both good for stock Powerwagons (not all obstacles of course). Also Sevenmile rim, Top of the World and of course Fins and Things also!!! Looks like I’m leaving the Jeep at home and taking the big truck! Reminds me of the old days with the Rebel!

I’m going to try and convince the wife to let me go solo and leave Monday the 8th and drive to Moab via Gateway and wheel all day Tuesday with you guys around Moab and then run White rim on Wednesday and Thursday and then head back to Colorado when we get back on Thursday. Something like that. I’m getting excited about this and I think I might camp out of my truck the whole time so it’ll be fun. I’ve been gearing up for something like this and hopefully Moab opens up and is all good with dispersed camping by then

So it’s official, I am dropping the wife and son off in Aspen on Monday June 8th and then driving to Moab. If I have the time I may take the Safari road from Gateway to Moab and camp a little outside of Moab. We can wheel all day Tuesday so we should probably start deciding the trails we want to do
I would like to do any and all of the following: Hells revenge, Poison Spider, Sevenmile Rim, Top of the world, Fins&Things (did this in my Rebel a few years ago but would definitely do it again). Guys, let me know what you all want to run too so we can decide how Tuesday will look. We should be able to easily do 2 or maybe 3 of the trails really close to Moab like Hells, Poison, Fins. I’m up for anything and can’t wait!
I will be camping out of my truck the whole time outside of Moab somewhere..... since it’s during the week I think it’ll be great camping, anyone is free to join me too
Hoping to run the White rim on Wednesday & Thursday and then driving back to Aspen Thursday evening.
    I AM SO STOKED!

    Sweet!

I'm looking forward to it! We can try and line stuff up more once we get a week out.

Also, I see I only have to remember one name, Matt is coming too!

Yea really looking forward to it!
I need more than just seeing the videos at this point.
I know I can't do it all, just like the Ouray trip. (Even though I wanted to.)

So the question becomes, when does it come off the bucket list!?
I still need my Ophir, Poughkeepsie run, it doesn't feel qualified otherwise.

When I get back, I know I'll need at least two (or twenty-two) from Moab.
    First world problems man...

Aaron (GoSlo) added me to his White Rim permit so get with him to see if he can still add you. He can tell you how to get a permit either way. For a few trails on Sand Flats Road you pay $6 day use permit when you get there. Most routes are free

Yeah the Hells Revenge is a 5 dollar entry to that area from what I understand.

The White Rim permit allows 3 vehicles for camping overnight.

Currently 2 vehicles are on the permit, I know my wife (and probably sister and daughter) will go the entire trail in one day, to come out a little sw of Moab.

I could probably add your vehicle to the permit if you wanted to camp down there with us at 'Hardscrabble'.

Oh I did see this on the NPS site today, something we will have to keep an eye on.

" The White Rim Road between Hardscrabble and Labyrinth campsites MAY BE FLOODED AND IMPASSABLE due to spring run-off.

If flooded, you will not be able to cross this section of road. If your trip has you entering or exiting through this area and the road is flooded, you must plan to turn around and return the direction you came in. Absolutely NO off-road travel to bypass the flooded area (by mountain bike, motorcycle, and/or vehicle) and NO camping outside of the conditions of your permit will be tolerated. Extra fuel (enough to drive an extra 100 miles) for your vehicle is highly recommended. It is your responsibility to be prepared and plan accordingly.

It is imperative that you determine current river flows for when your permit is scheduled. The road will most likely be flooded and impassable at Green River levels as low as 15,500 cfs. You may monitor the current river flow conditions at the USGS data site and the forecast flows at the NOAA site. We recommend you check river flows just prior to your trip. "

Got the new AEV wheels and 37” KM3’s put on today! Full size spare in the back & off road floor jack should show up on Friday. I also ordered a mini light bar and some magnetic mounts for it to light up camp and the trail at night if needed. I’m gearing up Moab

    Good looking rig man!

My brother in law, (who never remembers to sign up), just pulled the trigger on a metal cloak JK skid kit today.

    Should be on in time.

I'm thinking about RCV's on the front, and my current lack of them.

3 weeks from today!!! So excited! I’m going to put Tuesday (6/8) on the calendar in case anyone wants to join Aaron and I (and Matt I think) to do TOP OF THE WORLD Tuesday morning and then HELLS REVENGE I’m the afternoon. These are two of the routes on my Moab to do list and I can’t wait. I am going to camp (hopefully) right near the trailhead, hoping to secure a spot at the Cowskin campground that’s basically at the trailhead.
Matt (Fatkid) you plan on joining us still?

Heck yes I'm still in, probably going to skip the camping portion as we had to pay upfront for the airbnb, but absolutely down fir those trails on Tuesday.
