    Default Hello from Pueblo!

Hi all, new to the board here. My name is Mark, and I'm in Pueblo, CO. Yes, yes, I know that Pueblo is technically not Front Range, but lets pretend that it is and we'll be all good.

Currently I am daily driving a 1993 Cherokee (XJ) Sport 5spd, has 220k miles and a few modifications from the previous owner. I believe it has the rough country package, which is a moderate lift and some more armor over stock. I have big plans for this rig, planning on a "junkyard" lift and a few other mods. I bought this rig for $800 back in October, running and driving shocking enough, and I'm planning to use it as a test bed for all sorts of budget modifications. This XJ is my first running and driving 4wd. (Owned two '73 CJ5s that I never got to working on) Otherwise, I've mostly worked on german sedans, and currently have a collection of 80s water-cooled porsches acting as lawn ornaments. I swear I'll get them running!

My wife, her daily is a 2011 Jeep Wrangler (JK) Rubicon 6spd. So far this rig is all stock, but hopefully not for long. I have big plans for the JK, including a 4BT swap, and changing the D44s out for D60s, but for now we are running as is. Gotta buy the wife a house first!

Both of us are originally from out of state, but we've been in CO now for going on a couple years. Used to be up in the Boulder County area, and just recently moved to Pueblo for my job. Gov't work, pays well enough to make it worth the move. We are looking forward to meeting some of the other local members, and running some trails! We've explored some of the mountain roads up and down the front range already, and are always looking to explore some more. Neither of us are particularly experienced in off roading so I am hoping we will learn from more experienced members along the way. Thanks for adding us to the board.

P.s. - I'll be posting some technical questions shortly, the JK is giving me some trouble again...

    Thank you all!

Medano pass is a pretty decent drive, ran it in a stock JK Rubicon. On the way down to the sand dunes from Medano pass there is 6-7 water crossings. When we went in late fall they were pretty shallow. Could see them being deep for a stock JK with more water flow in spring and early summer.
