My vote would also be for swapping to Yankee Hill. I will still be going wheeling despite the stay in place order, I noticed that state parks are an exception. I think wheeling is even more person-to-person distanced of an activity than hiking. Hopefully the judge agrees?

I agree easy trails are fun right now. Had a blast on Switzerland a few days ago possibly driving a bit to fast on it but nobody at all was out. Was getting airborn in the whoops, ended up ripping a fender flare off while testing out my new suspension, but other than that little cosmetic issue it was a perfect day in a sea of crazy.

Just for information purposes - make your own decisions. From 9 news conversation with governors office (see full article here: https://www.9news.com/article/news/h...d-5af22db658ec):

Can someone go for a leisurely drive/motorcyclist go for a ride?

Governor's office: We need to conserve our public health resources to respond to these pandemic emergencies. To stop the spread of this deadly virus, Coloradans are encouraged to travel only for necessities like groceries, take advantage of the sunshine by taking a walk or a bike ride.

Can you be pulled over simply for driving?

Governor's office: Voluntary compliance is critical. This isn’t about what you can get away with, it’s about protecting the health and safety of your neighbors and community. It's also up to the local law enforcement agency.
City of Denver: We are not actively pulling people over to question their travel destination. If there is probable cause to pull someone over for a traffic infraction or other offense, that person may be asked about the reason for their travel. Simply explain your travel purpose to the officer.

Can dog owners take their pets to dog parks?

Governor's office: Coloradans should only be leaving their home for critical needs. Coloradans are able to go outside under the order, but must practice social distancing.
(With that said, in Denver, dog parks are closed.)

Old ratty jeeps - your typical "go to work" vehicles. No officer would question that type of vehicle scooting down the road.

As much as my crusty gramps "going to do it my way - anyway" attitude might be around, I could see delaying the "spring" Anniversary Run. Don't take "admin" under my name as any influence - folks in the mix - toss some thoughts. Delay or go as planned? It would be nicer to have a larger group with a social hour...

If it happens Saturday I'd stay in my vehicle the whole time to be safe, but I'd also be fine with delaying until we can be a bit more social.

Sadly enough, that seems like the right call.

No worries - I will CANCEL the run on the calendar. This March trip is always a bit iffy just due to weather and snow (which is coming in again today)- not to mention public health concerns around C-19. If the opportunity arises to reschedule in a month or so, we'll see if we can get a trip together.

I think each individuals situation is unique, and if individuals want to get out and wheel, that is their choice (and preferably in small group without risking any unnecessary first responders etc). But I also think that an 'organized' group run is maybe not within the spirit or social obligation/responsibility...? One of the main goals of our 'anniversary runs' and A-A-T runs is often a slightly bigger group with additional socializing - which is not something we can do right now.

I would say - as we may have some downtime (some models are suggesting that 'flattening the curve' is happening, but it also means that the peak is getting delayed until May) - get out and check your 4x4 over. As the cj was in storage for the last few months with the Willys project taking up my garage, I was going to use this run as reason to get the old cj out and do a beginning of season check and put a wrench on the important stuff. Be ready for when wheeling season finally gets around and we can enjoy getting out together. Take care of all those little things you needed to do at the end of last season before this season gets going. We'll see how things are in June - but if possible we'll probably look to have the China Wall anniversary run....

Best wishes to all - stay safe and help keep each other safe and healthy.

I don't believe you can cancel the RSVP entry. I can delete it if you wish. You can (as others have done) adjust the date - push it back 30 years or so - that makes it disappear.

There is an option to delete when I go to edit - but I think its good as is. I think it better that it say cancelled rather than just disappear.

Well....I need mountain time so I will be headed south.
    One co worker as well.
Need the time to clear my head and relax.
    Will be watching for reschedule.
After may 1st things get tight for me with the tour session.
But that may not have much happening g after the CV crap is done.
