Hoping to complete some maintenance on the Jeep this week, and get out for a trail run on Sunday. Perhaps Pickle Gulch or Miller Rock? I wonder if the snow we ran into on Pickle Gulch 4 weeks ago has melted off yet.

I may be interested depending on the weather this week. Sounded like lots of rain down here last time I checked. Is so there could be snow up there.

-.- . ----- .-- - -.-.
I might be interested too.
A fan of Miller as it's closer - but snow condition on Pickle has my interest.
I'm interested, maybe Yankee Hill?
Interested.
Yankee hill might be good also/instead. Suggestions for stuff that is open and passable in these areas are welcome.
Anything is passable with enough time and equipment ;)
Would be interested in this run as well.

I'm out, heading down to the Fourmile area to screw around with new photo gear.
So - something WILL happen Sunday, yes? Where is yet to be determined?
Snowbashing on Pickle?
Perhaps hit pickle in reverse - come at the possible snowblock from the top side??
Replacing brakes and rotors on jeep tomorrow. If that goes well, I will run on Sunday. Hesitant to post and volunteer to run until I have everything back together. Someone else is welcome to post run and organize though.

Let's wait until you have your brakes tended - I'm thinking there is enough interest that something will happen - no matter how.
I am for sure interested in anything happening on Sunday. Ill keep checking back to see whats happening.
Few guys gunna try and make the connections from pickle gulch, apex, to yankee from the north. Pretty determined. Expecting pockets of deep snow and winching. All welcome to join.
Brakes are done and working -- first time I've replaced rotors and pads myself. What do we want to do on Sunday? Sounds like lots of people are interested in wheeling, but I don't recall anyone having a strong opinion on where (?). I've been travelling and not keeping up with this thread well.
Looks like cold and rainy forecast for Sunday. I might punt on this Sunday run. Also, it appears there may be a run tomorrow in the Apex / Pickle gulch area. See the thread at http://www.frontrange4x4.com/forums/...aturday-June-7
Well we ate still looking to wheel Sunday.
So who wants to do what

I heard from someone on Friday that lives in Black Hawk that the forest areas still have a ton of snow. I didn't mention Pickle Gulch, but just the way he described the amount of snow... Hmmm...
We are still leaving the trail head at 10. We live in Black hawk as well. There will be run off, deep snow pockets and an occasional shower depending on what cloud comes overhead. Our goal is to make the connections from Pickle to Yankee hill. Expecting the north side of Yankee to Kingston to be the worst and possibly impassable.
Just did Yankee yesterday with no problems, made it to top and down with very little snow issues. Mainly stayed on 175 then down through Cumberland Gulch. Never done Pickle so not sure how this would translate to that area. Just some current intel.
