"I upgraded to a GMG just before Thanksgiving. So far I’m loving it, the cost of pellets will be my limiting factor with using it though, these things literally burn money! I’m working on a group buy for pellets though which could potentially cut costs by 75%, we’ll see what they say for shipping.
So so far all I’ve done on it is a turkey,burgers, pizza beans and park butt. All turned out awesome, need to figure out how to get a little more smoke on the butt. Getting it started and up to temp without even getting out of bed was nice, gotta love the WiFi.
I found some pans (lasagna I think) at Walmart that fit perfect under the grates, they are the right length to hang on the little shelf the racks sit on. They work great for catching drippings which are yummy. Did a gravy with them for the turkey and will use them to catch the rendered fat for burnt ends."
