Looking forward to meeting members to share information on trucks and rigs and doing some wheeling together. Started driving trails at least 40 years ago by renting Jeeps in Southwest Colorado. Since then, age has made me more fearful and cautious. I enjoy doing trails rated easy to moderate in the manuals by Charles Wells, although I sometimes question his ratings. We live in the Red Feather Lakes area, but spend more time cutting trees than running the Jeep. About the Jeep: Bought this 98 Grand Cherokee Limited on Ebay. Not a month goes by that we don't need to try and fix a bug in this extensively modified thing. Before the Jeep, we ran a Suzuki Samurai that we pulled behind a motor home. At least I could fix the Samurai and the parts were cheap. We would like to pair up with some members this summer and do some trails on the bucket list, mainly Mosquito Pass and the loop in the Ouray/Siloverton area. Of course all of this is dependent on the gas guzzling 5.9 in the jeep, with lockers front and rear and 4.88 gearing, staying cool and not leaving me stranded on a trail.
