    Default New Axles

My wife, who has ALWAYS, made me buy better than I plan to, has apparently gotten sick of hearing about how badly I want to upgrade to Dynatrac axles. Last night her words were "Why are you waiting until summer? Just do it already." When I told her we're looking in the 12-15k range she didn't blink. By spring, Lucy will have a Dynatrac ProRock 44/60 Axle Set under her...ARB front and rear lockers, driveshafts, a compressor, rear control arms, etc...

So yeah, my wife...pretty "Cool Find"

Too bad my garage doesn't have enough clearance for 37's. I think I should repay her with a new house.

Cool but if youre going that far why not get the 60 front as well? Its not that much more than the 44

    Right?

I looked, even had it in the cart. It'll add another $3k+. There's quite a bit more I'll want/need to do before I need the 60 up front. When I did my lift I did the RK Flex, not the Max Travel or X-Factor. I need front uppers and rear upper and lower CA's. This is the last Jeep I'm buying and I've got the 3.8. My plan down the road is to super charge or engine swap. When I do that I'll CL this set and HOPEFULLY be putting 80's down there.

I'm only half joking about the house, not to offend anyone but the Denver metro area is quickly becoming a place I do not want to be. There seem to be less and less people in my immediate surroundings that I do not wish bad things on. Get the last one through high school and get gone to the high plains.

    BTW...lovin the buggy!

    X2 and then some.

I think like Alex in regards to the 60, but in reality, depending on your wheeling style and tire size a 44 should be ok. Just know that with 37's and 38 tires and a VERY tired 4 banger I was busting shafts left and right.. literally .. But I will add, that was VERY cool of your wife. Most 'Wifes' I know would gut their man like a deer at the mere mention of an upgrade to 'Man toy' (Tim Allen voice) ,..

I love my Dynatrac pro rock 60 front and rear riding on 37s in my TJ. FYI the biggest front 60 install issue is, upwards clearance of trac arm and frame. From center of axle to top of a 60 is quite a bit more than a Dana 30 or 44. I am not familiar with a JK front end ,but , solid front axle on coil springs are all pretty close to hitting on top already during compression . I can post a picture of mine for a reference if you needed.

I appreciate it! The more I get to planning the job's getting bigger and bigger than I originally planned. I'm leaning towards getting with Northridge in Denver and turning it over to them for a few weeks. My time off is getting limited and I really don't want to pull too much time away from the family.

I think your wife should talk to my wife. I sure could use a 3.4 swap
