Default Lead King basin, Crystal City, Schofield Pass

So we have a work stop up here in Aspen.
So off to Marble to go to Crystal City.

Oops F.S. trashed the road into Crystal City.
D5 dozer stuck in the mud up to the windows!
Oops....D3 dozer stuck over the tracks trying to get it out!
The hole is big enough to swallow Bruser!

So up and around via Lead King basin.
This was a great ride, amazing views.
FS has done some water bar work and made a mess of it but it was fun.
    A little mud never hurts.
The trip down into Crystal City from that side was dry and easy to get down.

And as I was right there with half the day left I want up Schofield Pass as well.
Devils punch bowl was flowing nicely.
Trail was dry tight for a jk but sure was fun.

The young couple I encounter on the way up we're more than happy to ride along.
At 4pm they were 4 miles from there car on the Creasted Butte side.
They still have to cross the bridge and the water crossing.
So loaded them up and off to the Creasted Butte side.
They were at there rental car by 5.
They are now considering a JK as they loved the ride.
Was more than happy to shuttle them up and out.
Better than them being in this canyon after dark!

Therese will post pictures as I am still in Glennwood springs.

The Marble side of Crystal City is now closed for the foreseeable future!
Could be fixed by close of session but I doubt it.
It will need alot of work to repair.
And it's just a few feet from the lake!

So Brandon, did you name your rig Bruser? If so I like it. I can't understand when some name their rig something like Percilla??? that is not a name for a 4x4 rig right?

    Thank for the up-date!
