Yea thanks guys, I think I want something a little more built but not necessarily as built as that Cherokee! Sweet crawler but not for me.... now that CJ7 is AWESOME!!! I might followup on that one since I'm getting slot of initial bites on my Pontiac G8 GT I just put up for sale

No.
Looks like it has factory A/C. What's wheelbase on this? Longer than the other wrangler's?
The intake system interests me. Curiously, some of the photos look like they were taken at the Laramie River valley trails.

Man there are a lot of options out there. I'd really like a Rubicon, lifted. 33's are fine but 35-37 would be great. Wife would like the Automatic tranny option although I'd prefer manual and I'd be using it 90% of the time.
That CJ7 looks clean and has everything I want, but the wife thinks it might be a little too built for her taste. It's also a bit of a drive for me (Co Springs). The '05 Rubicon Unlimited in Fort Collins is modified right what I want but it's a little too expensive..... might offer $12k or around there. It does have a lot of miles too. The original post has fairly low mileage and I'm going to ask if it has lockers and still considering that one also if it has lockers and runs/sounds good.
Ive got someone checking out my Pontiac tomorrow so if it sells quickly I may buy a Jeep sooner than later

I'm partial to the LJs and that is really nice, the hardtop is valuable on those. IMO the automatic transmissions in every wrangler up to the JK suck, if you want an auto I'd look newer. The 6 speed manual in the LJ and TJs of the same years, and the JKs now, have a 4.5 to 1 first gear, 4 underdrives (5th is 1 to 1) and is, again IMO, the best manual transmission jeep has offered yet. Really all the manuals since the BA-10/5 are good, but the low first gear is awesome.

Just guestimating I'd add 2k for being a Rubicon and 1k for the hardtop.
FWIW mine is not a Rubicon, I added Detroit True-tracs myself to both axles and kept the 3:73 gears which work great with 33s and the low first gear. It works well for me and cost about 1k for me to DIY both.
Again FWIW, if you have the Funtreks.com books Charles Wells has his rigs in them and he did all of the trails in his books with a TJ with ARBs in a Dana 30/44 combo with 4:10s and a 3" lift on 33x12.50 BFG ATs.
Yea I really have always liked the original Unlimited Rubicon LJ's. DreamJeeps.com has a BEAUTIFUL '06 that I want really bad, and only 77k miles but they want over $25K ;-/
Here's the link, I'd have to finance something this much and was hoping to pay up to $12K in cash and be done with it..... but this one is so cool I just might offer $20K and see if they bite

Dream Jeeps (or Dream 4x4 or whatever they call themselves now) has a bit of a bad reputation (not unusual for used car dealers). I'd buy with caution if you go that route.
RockyMtRebel (September 29th, 2017)
I did not hear that ^^. Someone here mentioned them and they do have some nice Jeeps. Anyone else hear about or have any experiences with DreamJeeps?

i've never heard of them. but theres nothing about that jeep that screams $26k to me. maybe $16k. the low miles and auto are the only things that really stand out to me. the rest is mostly mid-low end parts on a stockish rubicon lj.

Thanks guys, really appreciate the comments and suggestions! I'll keep focusing on selling my Pontiac so I can buy private party Jeep. I'm not in a hurry, have my 2017 Ram Rebel after all
but please keep sending me any leads in cool Jeeps that you may see. thanks again!!
