Looks like a long (almost 20 miles) loop system of fun 4/5 moderate trails. Anyone done this lately? Close to Idaho Springs and a nice long trail to spend a day on......

Thinking next weekend since it's supposed to get nice out

I should be available for this, as long as I stay on schedule for the modify on my truck. Going to be removing extra parts from rear end through this week and be good to go. Then the next week I will concentrate on them sliders.

Couple weekends ago I drove in Ute Creek, up to the top of Saxon Mtn., then came out Cascade Creek. Was lucky I did it that way, because Cascade Creek seems to have gotten a bit more difficult of a trail. The rocks and holes in the trail seem to be growing. lol So, going down Cascade Creek is easier than going up the trail. It was also raining when we did the trail, which made it a little tougher.

Looks like fun, Matt. Lets go!!
All trails says it's 12 mile loop, but either way an all dayer sounds good. I'll be working on the F-150 and should be in a spot where I can go this weekend.
It has been raining and snowing up there, do you have any 'new' pics of the area?

I ran this Saturday with NAXJA. One member drove his Silverado up Cascade, but, he had a loose nut behind the steering wheel

I'll try to get pictures up this week.

Hey Phillip, I forgot we are leaving for Texas early Monday so my weekend time will be more limited than I realized. Would you be interested in doing something like Gordon Gulch to Gold Hill/Switzerland trail instead? Would be more of a 3-4 hour wheelin' instead of all day. I still want to get out and dirty but just can't justify being gone all day long on Saturday.

Cascade to Saxon mtn was the first trails run in my new rig.
    Was easy for the JKUR.
    You will be fine.
Saxon is bumpy ride but great views.
Cascade is not a tough one.
Spring Creek is more of a challenge.
Go enjoy this ride as snow will be coming soon.
