I have a three day weekend with plans to do something, just not sure what yet. Maybe run around all the stuff up behind Montazuma? Who's in?
Pete.

I would be interested if I have a day and time and a place to meet
I'll keep the thread updated as I figure it out. Let me know if you have a preference.
Any of the three days are good for me - do you know the area? We could go up to Webster Pass, cross to Radical Hill which is a blast and then follow the tops of the mountains back to Montezuma.
Never been up there. Sounds like Webster is likely to be snowed in on the south/east side, wouldn't mind connecting all the way through to Breck. Haven't given it too much thought, just have a 3 day weekend and would love to check out the area.
That is one of my favorite areas due to the breathtaking views. You can connect from Montezuma and hit Breckenridge or Georgia pass which at the top is clear. There are several "Public cabins" up there to visit and if feeling adventurous, bowling ball hill is fun. Bring your camera, mountain goats have inhabited the area frequently for the past few years I have been up there, and they are not afraid of people.
Are the Michigan lakes outside of Jefferson open for fishing/camping? Thinking about making it an overnight and prefer camping by lakes but there's a surprisingly lack of still water out there.
Have not had a visit to those lakes this year so, would not be able to comment on the status.
Sorry, I was thinking of the hiking trails at Michigan lakes North of Grandby. Not sure where the lakes are you are referring to near Jefferson.
Saints John is a consideration (above timberline unless you're desiring to stay below the line due to lightning).
